Mothers and Daughters is the story of two sets of mother and daughter relationships, the first quite difficult and damaging, the second more than making up for the first. My hope is that this concert aria (my first vocal piece) will give comfort to women whose relationships with their mothers may be less than ideal, and that the joy of my relationship with my own daughter will encourage the mending of any mother-daughter relationship that is currently challenged as well as the celebration of those who, like me, are so tremendously grateful for the unique and very special angels our daughters can be in our lives.
