The second piece in Imaginings, my instrumental song cycle, is an exercise in allowing your mind to wander, feeling all the feels - excitement, trepidation, the unknown and every feeling that can accompany such a journey. It’s like a maze, with surprising twists and turns all the way through, as well as places to rest. The ostinato serves as a foundational, evolutionary support to the changing moods throughout the piece. As we traverse this journey, experiencing the changes in what seems to be a dependable foundation, we discover things about ourselves that we might never have encountered…
