Program Note

My only happy outdoor space is the beach. Sitting by the ocean, breathing in the ocean air, allowing the magic of the ocean to cleanse my spirit as nothing else can. This is Essence, the third piece in the Whitewater Suite. It is the story of the incoming and subsequent outflowing tides. It was written sitting by the Pacific on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. As you listen, I hope you will close your eyes and feel just a bit of that ocean breeze…
